WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!

Ever thought about driving a 25000 pound red shiny fire truck with red lights flashing and siren screaming to a call for help?  Does this sound like fun?  How about at 2 a.m.?  Does it still sound like fun?  Okay, add wearing a suit and equipment weighing about 80 pounds while trying to remember the training your adrenaline charged mind is attempting sort out.  Still sound good?  If this sounds like something you may like to attempt then you could be exactly what your community needs.

In reality it isn’t just about fighting fire.  Actually that tends to be the focus and the main purpose but so many other situations are faced by our volunteers.  They rely on training.  Training is number one with our people and it is a weekly commitment.  Each and every Monday night they attend training or work on the apparatus and various support equipment.  Sometimes weekends are spent training with other departments.  It’s an unending process that allows an individual to grow, learn and advance making great friends in the fire service along the way.  Maybe a career in the fire service is something you would like, after all, Fieldbrook Volunteer Fire has had more than a few members climb the ranks to many paid positions in many different organizations.  It can be a career changer with your commitment and drive.
